I think overall I am very happy with my concept, theme and my final outcomes for this project, my initial idea was to show distortion though walkways and paths by editing my images on photoshop to make them look this way, but instead I decided to change my idea slightly to make it look like memories are disappearing which I thought was a much better idea and it went better with the overall concept as it flowed better and it also had a much deeper meaning to it and I think that it was a bit more thoughtful, as at the start I didn't really have a concept and I looked into different artist and came up with one but at the start I don't think it was very strong, but through more thought process and more research, and aswell through classwork and getting feedback I came up with a much stronger idea.
I think that the images taken were very strong and prorated my idea well, the images were a little basic as they are walkways and paths but I think that I have developed it to be much more stronger and have a bit more meaning behind them.
I did really enjoy this project as it was more digital and I was able to edit the images in my own way and make them how I liked them, overall I think it was quite a thoughtful project as we were dealing with 'fragmented time' and I think that when looking at my images you can tell the theme. I carefully picked my artist research and picked ones that went with my theme but also ones that inspired me and helped me make my choices in my work. Even though I couldn't really find much valid information I think that John Gossage was a big help when looking at his images, as they kind of related to mine and they way that he took them, not so much the actual images themselves, there were some of them that were inspirational but I think just his general methods and the way they were taken.
In class I really liked doing all of the different editing tasks as I think that this helped me in the end when it came to editing my own images.
For the final images that we had to use different surfaces for I really liked this aspect of the project as I think that it conveyed the project a lot more, for mine I used more see through surfaces as when I was trying to related it to my project I was thinking that time is very fluid and I think that it is a very see through concept and swell with my images being walkways and paths I think the fact that you can see through some of my images coveys that walkways and paths are see through and time moves through them all the time and I also think that time is very delicate and which led my decision to my different surfaces.
Overall I am very happy with my project and it turned out the way that I intended it to.
